二、教学目的及要求
1.  课程简介
外国建筑史以西方古典建筑体系的发展历史为脉络,讲述了从古希腊、古罗马时期奠基的古典建筑,经过中世纪、文艺复兴及古典主义世纪的各阶段发展,一直延续到二十世纪初形成的建筑体系在两千多年来在各个时期的发展状况。
外国近现代建筑史则以工业革命后西方建筑的变革为主题,讲述了传统建筑逐渐被历史淘汰和新建筑由探索走向新生的过程,以及“现代建筑”的出现至现代建筑“多元化”格局的出现。
本课程以讲述历史为主,辅以适当评论,是为建筑学专业学生了解西方建筑历史,增加理论常识而设置的一门必修课。
2.  课程目的
    (1)了解西方古典建筑体系形成和发展的过程,正确认识建筑与文化、建筑与历史、建筑与传统、建筑与宗教等社会文化因素的关系。
(2)通过学习建筑历史学会用历史的眼光看待和评论建筑,从中更深一步了解建筑发展的延续性与时代性。
(3)通过对各个历史时期建筑思潮和流派的分析,培养正确的理论认识和修养,学会理性思考现代建筑的发展和未来,并以此来指导和提高课程设计水平。
3.  课程要求
(1)了解各个历史时期的主要建筑潮流及其形式,其代表实例及其特点;了解该时期代表建筑师的作品及其理论观点。
(2)掌握建筑历史中专业名词的基本概念。
(3)了解建筑与社会发展的必然联系,以及建筑自身所反映的社会文化特征。
(4)了解传统建筑向新建筑过渡及新建筑产生的必然。
(5)掌握“现代建筑”的基本理论观点及代表建筑师的成就。
(6)了解现代世界各种建筑思潮的核心和本质及其理论观点。
(7)培养对建筑形的敏感,从观察细节入手,增强整体比例、尺度概念,锻炼一定的形象记忆及作图能力。

4.Course brief introduction
The History of World Architecture based on the development history of the classic Architecture in systematic, narrate from the classic Architecture of the ancient Greece, the ancient period of Rome lay foundation stone, through each stage between Middle Ages, and Century in Classicism, till 20’s centuries formative of Architecture system, literature renew the development condition of each period in more than 2,000 years.
The History of Near Modern World Architecture then get the evolution of West Architecture after the Industrial Revolution for topic, discuss the process of the elimination from traditional Architecture to new Architecture, and the process of new Architecture from gestation to born , and discuss the course from " Modern Architecture " to the " diversification situation".
This course then relate history is main, assist to comment on with the adequacy, for the student of profession Architecture learn to understands the west Architecture history, increment theories common sense as a required course that establishes.
5.Course purpose
(1) Understand the Classic Architecture in west system formation with the process of the development, right cognition architecture and culture, architecture and history, architecture and tradition, architecture and religion the relation of the social culture factor.
(2) Through the study of the architecture history academic association to treat with the historical taste with comment, and get the deeper understanding on it’s development and time character.
(3) Through the analysis to the architecture history in each period current of thought and genre, cultivate the right theories knowing and culture, learn to academically considers Modern Architecture development with future, and with this to guide and increase course design level.

(1) Understand the main architectural genre and modality of each period, Understanding the representative architects’ works and theories standpoints in that period.
(2)  Understand the basic concept inside profession word of architecture history.
(3) Understand the necessity contact between architecture and social development, and the social culture characteristic itself to reflecting.
(4)  Understand the transition from traditional architecture to new architecture, and the necessity of new architecture.
